Quite some days ago I did setup the Transmission client on one of my headless dedicated servers for the sake of seeding torrents for private trackers.
Advantage of a seedbox is the fact that I can leave all torrents seeding basically 24/7 without having to leave my own computer turned on. It also prevents most of the copyright trolls from sending out false DMCA complaints.
As the setup is rather easy and painless, I thought I would write a short blog post about how you can achieve the same thing as I did. The guide is meant for Debian 8 and 9, but I am sure that this also works with a few other distros with small changes to the commands.
